Tay District Fisheries Management Plan
Several years ago the Scottish Government provided funding to fisheries trusts to produce standardised fisheries management plans for their respective catchments.
This project was coordinated and administered by Rivers and Fisheries Trusts of Scotland (RAFTS). At the time the Tay Foundation did not employ its own staff, therefore the Tay Fisheries Management Plan was written by the Tay District Salmon Fisheries Board on the Tay Foundation's behalf.
The plan, which covers all fish species, details the many issues impacting on fish stocks in the Tay district and their fisheries. It also lists the many tasks which may be required to improve matters. The final version of the plan, which was subject to public consultation, can be obtained by clicking here. It is a must read document for anyone interested in Tay fisheries and the issues surrounding them.
