In its early years the Tay Foundation was mostly concerned with the buyouts of net fishing in the estuary of the River Tay. Since these were completed the Tay Foundation's focus changed to wider projects within the catchment. The Foundation was reconstituted in 2004 has since supported, and continues to support, a wide range of projects throughout the catchment.
